FROM THE PIKOS INSTITUTE:
This comprehensive course provides hands-on hard tissue grafting training, combining advanced tissue engineering principles with practical surgical demonstrations. Participants will master the fundamentals of bone biology, bioactive modifiers, and the strategic use of blood-borne and recombinant proteins. Through expert instruction, attendees will develop proficiency in Cone Beam CT sequential diagnosis and sophisticated treatment planning protocols for complex cases.
The program delivers in-depth coverage of essential techniques including Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR), mandibular block autografts, and alveolar ridge augmentation using mesh particulate techniques. Live surgical demonstrations and hands-on workshops focus on extraction site management, pre-bone graft soft tissue protocols, and ridge expansion procedures. Special attention is given to understanding bisphosphonate considerations and implementing precise surgical protocols for predictable outcomes.
Participants will learn the critical “why” behind each procedural step, enabling them to optimize treatment outcomes and minimize complications. The course emphasizes the integration of 3D digital diagnostics, rhBMP-2 applications, and various bioactive modifiers within comprehensive treatment plans. Through intensive hands-on training, attendees will gain the confidence to expand their clinical expertise in both horizontal and vertical bone augmentation, transforming their approach to patient care.
